Come to Iceland!
Hi Dag, I just saw that you posted on a Landrover forum something about "En reise over Island" on NRK. You really should come to Iceland and enjoy the wilderness here, but I must tell you that this danish roadtrip was put together like a puzzle, clips from all over Iceland and the big waterfall "Godafoss" at the end of episode 2 is on the main road and you see tens of busses there every day :( If an Icelander had put together such a nature film, he would be called a liar, but the danish guy has the freedom of a fantasy/fiction writer. Episode 2 is filmed all around the country, the big waterfall "Dynjandi" is in the "Westfjords" and the scene where he sleeps in the cave is probably filmed ca 20km from Reykjavik. I think it is stupid to use such film-tricks, you really don't need it to show the wild side of Iceland. Sorry for the many words, I just had to explain this to somebody. Hilsen fra Island

Fascinating...
Hi - thank you for your account of your time on the island. It was simply fascinating to read. I was not aware of the importance of Jan Mayen before today.
