Photography
Hi, I´m a belgian photographer preparing a 6 months documentary about the Sami People and it´s culture. Your portfolio is an interesting source for traditional Koftas. Concretely, the idea is take Jon Ántá´s family portrait 12 years later. If this project appeals to you, don´t hesitate in asking anything. Hope to hear from you. Thank you!

Ruttastakk fra Valdres
I bought Svennes Ruttastakk material in Fagernes and made a bunad. My cousin Joyce Johnson also made a ruttastakk bunad that was cut in Fagernes.
I have a photo.

Fantastic!
Thank you for your site. My young son has a school project here in the United States on his cultural background. His father's side is Norwegian. I had no idea how to find traditional clothing samples for this assignment. Your pictures are beautiful!

Mrs. Ginny Dyer
I'm trying to locate the region that the women is wearing located on the left side of the group picture, it is a black bunad with a cobalt blue vest. My daughter has been selected to be Jr. Miss Norway for the Astoria, Oregon, USA , Midsummer Festival and her costume is like the one in the picture but instead of being cobalt blue it is gold. Any help would be greatly appreciated, her heritage is from the Trondheim area but I was able to purchase her costume from a Norwegian Ebay shop.

Telemark bunad
Hello,
in 2005 I met many winter-sport fans from Norway at the world championship in Oberstdorf. There I first saw many women wearing the beautifull and warm Telemark bunad. I would be very interested in buying a pattern (mønsterelement). Could you kindly inform me where to buy it or whom to contact? I would be very pleased about this information.
Best regards from Bavaria
Ute Morlock

Flotte sider!
Hallo.

Gret photos
Hello!
I'm student from POland an I'm writing my Bachelor's study about Norwegian folk costumes and patterns. So, I have question- could I use photos from your site in my study? Please, answer me as soon as you could. In your site are great photos with bunad, where I can see particular examples of embroidery and patterns.
Best wishes!

Hei
Hei.

Mvh Pernille

Ms.
Hello Lailas! I have just returned from my first and hopefully not last trip to the land of my Norwegian and Swedish Grandparents, a dream that had to wait until I was 61 years old! I am surfing the web trying to find a sewing pattern to make a Bunad for my younger sister and myself. I am an accomplished weaver, spinner, natural plant dyer, seamstress and embroiderer so I need a sewing pattern that is true to the historic bunads and information regarding the weaving patterns and embroidery patterns. I visited Husfliden while in Lillehammer but, my husband was with me and he wanted to leave as I wanted so much to find a book on bunads and purchase fabric and research. My Grandfather was from Oslo and my Grandmother from Dalsland, Billingsfors, Sweden. My sister and I just love the bunad featured in a video on the Husfliden site. Can you help direct me to the necessary information that I need to create my own bunad?
Thank you. May 13, 2010

Den originale Märtha-bunaden
Hei!
